- Don't edit or save over existing content
- Jump straight in without understanding the site structure
DO
- Copy the previous year's articles, categories and modules so the site structure is maintained
- Take time to understand how content appears on the site. It's not just 'pages' - there is a mixture of pages/articles and modules that show content. Modules are used to allow consistent content to appear in multiple places e.g Sponsor logos.
- Use the 'code' view on articles, to ensure layout is maintained. The 'editor' view is OK, but ensure both are used together or the tables will be out of alignment. It is much easier to fix layout by editing the code directly, instead of trying to use the WYSIWYG editor.
